1 Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Lion OTT, we may collect:
Contact details — your name, WhatsApp number and, if you give it, your email address, when you order or request a trial.
Account details — the username and password of your subscription.
Payment records — confirmations of payments made through third-party transfer services. We never receive or store card numbers or bank logins.
Device information — the type of device and app you connect with and, for a MAG box, its MAC address, so we can create and support your line.
Messages and pictures — what you write in the live chat or a support ticket, and any screenshot you send us.
Connection logs — technical logs needed to keep the service working and to detect abuse.
2 This Website
When you place an order, request a trial, order reseller credits or start a live chat, we save the details you enter (name, email, WhatsApp number, device, the plan and payment method you chose, your messages) together with the time, your IP address and browser, so we can process your request and prevent abuse.
Our own daily statistics use a rotating visitor code rather than an advertising profile, and set no cookie. We do not currently load a third-party analytics service.
Once you start a trial or place an order, we may send you offers and news about our own service by email, unless you ticked “Don’t send me offers” at sign-up. You can change this in your profile at any time. Every such email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and we keep a record of when and how you agreed or withdrew. Emails about your account — login details, renewals, ticket replies — are sent whatever you choose.
3 Referral Programme
If you open an account through a referral link, we record which customer invited you. We use the account, order and activation status to decide whether a reward qualifies. To prevent self-referrals and duplicate rewards, we may compare the sign-up connection and browser/device identifier of the two accounts.
The referrer can see that a friend joined and the reward status, but we do not show them your email address, payment reference, login details or support messages.
4 How We Use Your Information
To verify payment and activate, manage or renew your subscription or trial.
To show login details in your account and send transactional email or service notices.
To answer support requests.
To monitor service quality and prevent fraud or account sharing.
To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
5 Information Sharing
Lion OTT does not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share limited information:
With service providers who help us operate (for example hosting), under confidentiality obligations.
When the law requires it, such as a court order.
With your reseller, if you subscribed through one, so they can manage your account.
6 Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure, and access is limited to the people who need it.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please keep your login details private.
7 Third-Party Services
WhatsApp — used when you choose that support channel, under Meta’s privacy policy.
Payment services — each governed by its own privacy policy.
Google Sign-In — if you choose it, Google confirms your identity and verified email address.
Email provider — receives the address and contents needed to send account and service messages.
TMDB — supplies catalogue metadata and images through our image proxy, so your browser does not contact TMDB.
Hosting provider — stores this website, its database and backups.
Our IPTV service platform — receives what is needed to create your line (a username, or your MAC address for a MAG box).
Google reCAPTCHA — protects sign-in against automated attacks; Google receives technical data about your browser.
Fonts and images on this website are served from our own server.
Lion OTT is not responsible for the privacy practices of these services.
8 Cookies
This website only sets cookies it needs to work. None is used for advertising or to follow you on other websites.
lo_cust — keeps you signed in to your account (up to 30 days).
lo_chat — keeps your live chat conversation open (60 days).
lo_dev — a random browser code that protects the free trial against abuse.
webo_sess / webo_admin — used only by our staff when signed in to the administration.
Because these cookies are strictly necessary, we do not ask for consent to them.
9 How Long We Keep Data
Your account — until you delete it.
Orders and payment records — as long as bookkeeping law requires, even after an account is deleted, without your contact details.
Pictures sent in the chat or a ticket — 60 days, then deleted automatically.
Technical logs — a short time, to keep the service secure.
Free-trial records — the email address a trial was given to is kept so the one-trial rule cannot be bypassed.
10 Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive it in a portable format — use Download my data in your account profile.
Delete your account and data — use Delete my account in your account profile. We keep only what the law requires.
Correct inaccurate data — edit your profile, or ask us.
Object to marketing at any time — one click in any offer email, or in your profile.
You can also contact us on WhatsApp or by email at support@lionott.co, and we answer within one month. You may complain to your data protection authority.
11 Children’s Privacy
Lion OTT is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes may be announced in your account, by email or through our support channels, and the date at the top of this page is updated.
